2024... what a year it was! Where to begin - we have a new Labour government, Trump was almost assassinated but then won his election... England had more heartbreak in the Euros.. We had one of the wettest summers on record but then also one of the warmest (apparently so anyway, it didn't feel that way!)
And on a personal note, one half of HDD welcomed a new baby girl into the world, busy times indeed!
When it comes to looking back, we always surprise ourselves. We are two sister-in-laws with our own families and our own day jobs who have a hunger and passion as a small business to deliver the gift of Alcohol. And we are forever grateful that we are able to do that every day.
2024 was a record breaking year for HDD. We celebrated our 10,000th customer on our website and we changed so many things behind the scenes including new packaging, simpler website and bigger discounts. We are always looking to adapt to the current trends so that we are able to provide the right gift sets for our customers.
- we launched our Birthday Advent range in April so your loved ones can enjoy a special treat every day in the seven days leading up to their birthday
- we simplified and expanded our Christmas Advent calendar range which helped us quadruple our advent sales compared to the previous year.
- we recognised there are new brands and new products in the market and ensured we added these to our portfolios. In the summer, we launched our AU Vodka gift sets after seeing that AU was the UK's fastest growing company and how much our customers love the great tasting flavoured vodka... And we also started stocking the 'fastest growing lager' in the UK - Cruzcampo - which was an immediate hit with cans of lager and unique branded glass added to our product list.
- and we recognise the growing demand for alcohol-free alternatives. There is so much choice and selection these days and we want to give the opportunity to gift your loved ones. So we expanded our range to include a host of new 0% lagers, ales, gins and even cocktails to our website!

We will continually look to evolve and push on in 2025 - we have big plans, we have our kids starting school, we have big birthday milestones, we have new products coming and we want you all to be a part of it!
